@HistorysMysterys the peace movement? lol! even John Lennon woke up out of that dreamworld. maybe small pockets of people can gather and live in peace but their are far more monsters out there and more on the way that will always fuck things up. and I know a lot of soldiers who enlisted to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. if we just sit here than they come for us. how would you like homicide bombers exploding themselves in our supermarkets and shopping malls and subways, etc.

@milesmuhldoon1 Not everyone who was in the peace movement was a drugged out loser, a lot of them went on to be successful scientists and entrepreneurs. Fuck hard drugs, that has nothing to do with the message of peace, for example construction workers are tough guys. Tough guys who toil and build foundation in this country. I admire sewer workers and construction workers 100 times more than some soldier fighting a war he didn't even have to sign up for...

@HistorysMysterys and not once in any of my posts do I say I Hate Hippies. but turning and tuning in and dropping out was a farce...what a great achievement, wandering around in a fucking daze all day and night...living in some fantasy of peace and love. I am from that era. lived on Buena Vista West in Haight-Ashbury.my brothers old place. we got stoned, too, but like Jagger said, ''its alright to let yourself go as long as you can get yourself back'' but a lot of kids never got back.so sad...

@HistorysMysterys the 1st Gulf War was an Eviction by an allied force UN approved combat troops to force the Hussein Regime from out of Kuwait. to go into Baghdad proper would have violated the UN resolution on liberating Kuwait only...our hands was once again tied like in 'Nam. yes, Clinton was too busy getting head from Lewinsky and making sure Wall Street was rolling in the dough and signing laws that made it easier for corporations to close and open overseas for bigger profits cheap labor.
